Insulate your Basement with Spray Polyurethane Foam
Spray Foam is an expanding foam that is applied by spraying it onto the basement walls. The insulation forms a continuous barrier. It adheres directly to the wall and also acts as the vapour barrier. Depending on how you will be using the space you can leave the insulation as is, or install your drywall on top to complete your room.
Headers
Spray Polyurethane enables us to insulate headers quickly and effectively
sealing off these areas which when left un-insulated expose you to
significant amounts of air leakage.
Our technicians will spray the spray polyurethane onto the header area.
This area is located between the top of the basement wall and where
the first floor begins. It is typically the width of your floor joists.
Basement Walls with Comfort Fill
Another option for your basement in the installation of cellulose using our Comfort Fill process. We use a light weight mesh which is fastened to
the framing studs. Cellulose is then injected into the newly created
wall cavity (behind the mesh).
It is installed under sufficient pressure to ensure even and uniform
coverage around utility fixtures, wires and pipes and to prevent any
settling. The mesh allows excess air to be released as the insulation
is injected into the cavities.
Cellulose installed using this process allows for a higher performing
and denser insulation solution than traditional fibre glass batt insulation
at a competitive price.
