Insulating Brick Veneer Walls From The Outside
To insulate an existing brick veneer wall from the outside of the building, Enerliv's technicians drill three small holes into each stud cavity. Holes are drilled into the mortar lines of the brick wall, so that patches are nearly invisible when the job is complete.
The holes extend through the wood sheathing that stands behind the brick, and into the stud cavity of the wall. Insulation is then blown in to the correct density, filling the cavity completely.
