Loose Fill Cellulose Insulation

The Safest And Greenest Insulation Available

We install CCMC approved Therm-O-Light Cellulose insulation. Locally manufactured and of the highest quality and safety, Thermo-O-Light Cellulose insulation from Therm-O-Comfort is the best choice for re-insulating your home.

Cellulose is a true recycled product which is made from recycled wood fibre and treated with a coating to make it safe, resistant to fire, and mould.

Cellulose provides a high, true R-Value of 3.75 - 3.85 depending on the application. Our specialized Dense Pack wall application means NO settling.

Reduces Air Leakage
Cellulose insulation can reduce the air leakage in a home by as much as 1/3 of the total heat loss in a home. Remember, air infiltration causes heat loss. Reducing the air leakage of your building means reducing drafts and heating loss in the winter, and cooling loss in the summer.

Safe and Fire Resistant
There are no skin irritations or health concerns for installers or your family.
Cellulose actually blocks the spread of fire by as much as 22%.

Noise Reduction
Cellulose is an excellent sound barrier.

Cellulose, the GREEN Insulation

Cellulose insulation is one of the greenest building products in the world.

Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newsprint and other paper sources, paper that might otherwise end up in landfills, releasing greenhouse gases as it decomposed. If all the paper currently being put into landfills each year were converted to cellulose insulation, it would save approximately eight million tons of CO2 emissions.

  • Cellulose takes less energy to make than any other insulation material.
  • Cellulose has the highest level of recycled content in the insulation industry - up to 85%. Cellulose insulation is made with recycled paper, paper that might otherwise end up in a landfill. Fiberglass has a maximum of 40% recycled content and foam products have little or none.
  • We purchase our cellulose insulation from Therm-O-Comfort, located in St. Thomas Ontario.

You can read more about cellulose insulation on the CIMA web site.
